Wanda Kay Marker

Harrington - Wanda Kay Marker passed away on Thursday April 10th at the Hospice Center in Milford, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Newport News, Virginia to parents, Alfred and Ivory McDaniel. She retired in 2007 from the Lake Forest School District as a Special Education Clerk. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary – CKRT Post #7; She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; an Avid NASCAR fan (especially Jimmy Johnson); and a Country music fan, with Luke Bryan being her favorite. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Roy, in 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Carroll of Harington; a sister, Gayle Jones and her partner, Theresa Reynolds of Milford; and a nephew, Paul Rash, Jr. of Milford. The family would like a say a special Thank you to all the staff at Bayhealh-Dover and the Hospice Center for their excellent care and compassion. Services will be 1 p.m., Monday, April 14, 2014 at Price Funeral Home, 6 Dorman Street, in Harrington, where friends may call on Sunday, April 13th from 7 to 9 pm Burial will be in Hopkins Cemetery, Felton.
