DOVER - Waddie Louise Hinton Hall passed away on Oct. 3, 2011. She was 79. She was known to many as Miss Waddie, Mommie Hall, Mom or Mom Hall. She was born on Sept. 12, 1932, in Madison County, Madison, Fla. She attended Madison Public Schools and graduated from Madison County Training High School. She also attended Suwannee River Junior College. She served her Country for approximately three years. She completed Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas and was assigned to Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., as a Medical Technician where she met her husband. She graduated from Garners Beauty and Cosmetology School in Sumter, South Carolina and was licensed in South Carolina and Delaware. She retired from Civil Service at Dover Air Force Base. She also retired from Bayhealth Kent General Hospital. She enjoyed working in her yard and crocheting. She was a quiet Christian lady who loved people and supported local charities. She was a faithful Usher at Dover AFB Chapel for many years until she was too ill to serve. She was preceded in death by her father, Pearl Harrison Hinton; and her mother, Mamie Lou Hinton; grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, whom she married on Dec. 24, 1954, Harold W. Hall, Sr. She is also survived by two sons whom she loved dearly, Harold W. Hall Jr. of Dover, and Douglas L. Hall of Los Angeles, Calif. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; brother-in-law, Thomas Jacob Hall; sister-in-law, Palm Hall and their families. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Winona L. Gatson and her family and two special friends that we have known since 1965, Rose Ann and Edward Smith who reside in Hartly. She is also survived by her special hometown friend, Mary Lou Thomas of Madison, Fla. A Viewing will be held at Calvary Assembly of God, Rt. 10 (Lebanon Road), Dover, from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011. The Funeral service will be held at Calvary Assembly of God on Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, where friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. and then the worship will take place. Burial will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook may be signed at www.benniesmithfuneralhome.com.
