Vivienne Jeanne Cecilia, 77

KENNEDEYVILLE, Md. - Vivienne Jeanne Cecilia, of Kennedyville, died Thursday, March 27, 2008, in Chester River Hospital, Chestertown. She was 77.

Jeanne was born July 28, 1930, in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Hugo and Catherine Procopio Desiderio.

She was a secretary for the Philadelphia Insulating Contractors, retiring in 1986 after 28 years of service.

Since 1963, Jeanne and her husband enjoyed summers in Kentmore Park and after retirement they made it home.

For 25 years, she was secretary and a board member of the Kentmore Park Association.

She enjoyed meeting neighbors at the pier every evening, watching the beautiful sunsets on the Sassafras River.

Jeanne is survived by her husband of 58 years, Anthony J. Cecilia.

Friends may call from 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St.

Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in St. Dennis Catholic Church, 153 N. Main St., Galena.

Burial in Shrewsbury Cemetery, Kennedyville.

Memorials may be offered to the Jeanne Cecilia Memorial Fund for the Beautification of Kentmore Park, c/o PNC Bank, Galena Branch, 101 W. Cross St., P.O. Box 106, Galena, MD 21635.
