HOUSTON - Virginia Louise Twilley passed from this life on June 23, 2022. Born July 4, 1930 to Earl and Cora (Kemp) Minner. She was one of eleven children. Born in Greensboro, MD where she spent her childhood, then to DE.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston M. Twilley, her parents and 8 brothers and sister; also her special friend Judy Rogers.
Virginia is survived by 2 sons, William Lee Vincent (Joyce) and Kevin M. Twilley (Bonnie); daughter-in-law, Bonnie Morris; 7 grandchildren, Darrin Morris, Shelly Merson, Dean Vincent (Judy), Staci Anderson (Eric), Tina Torres (Abi), Brian Twilley (Holly) and Amanda Smith (Cory); 13 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Virginia was a Life Member of Houston Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, past member of Carlisle Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Harrington Senior Center and the Houston Town Council.
She frequently said to her family, "You're going to miss me when I'm gone." She was right.
Funeral services will be private. Services in the care of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford, DE.
