Vincent Dukes

WILMINGTON - Vincent Dukes, of Wilmington, departed this life March 19, 2009. Vincent was born March 6, 1951, to the late Arthur and Josephine Dukes. He was raised in Brooklyn N.Y., and went to Eli Whitney High, Brooklyn. In 1968 Vincent joined the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1971. He worked in electrical communications in the Navy. He currently worked at Ametex Process Instruments in Newark. He was a Quality Assurance Inspector. Vincent leaves to mourn him, his oldest brother, Arthur Dukes; sister, Beverly Dukes; his children, Duane Tyler, Sabrina Dukes, Desiree Dukes, Alicia Dukes, Vincent Dukes Jr. and Tywana Tyler; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 10 a.m. Sunday, March 29, at Bennie Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be Monday, March 30, in Long Island, N.Y.
