Victoria Torres-Morales, 91

GEORGETOWN - Victoria Torres-Morales of Georgetown, formerly of Puerto Rico, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, in her home. She was 91.

Ms. Torres-Morales was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Francisco and Martina Morales Torres.

She was a retired domestic laborer.

She was a devoted mother, loved to sew and loved flowers. She was very close to, loyal to and loved her neighbors. She also was a very protective lady who raised four children whom she loved very dearly.

Ms. Torres-Morales was a devout Roman Catholic and was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, José Onel Rodriguez-Torres in 1991; and Pascual Rafael Rodriguez-Torres in 1993.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Edwin Rodriguez of Puerto Rico and Aladino "Cookie" and Kandy Rodriguez of Georgetown; two sisters, Eloisa Torres of Pennsylvania and Porforia Torres-Morales of Florida; five grandchildren, Rafael, Aladino Jr., Linsay Jo, Robert and Jason; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Millsboro Cemetery. Pastor John Betts will officiate.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to help defray funeral expenses, payable to Kandy Rodriguez, c/o Watson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 125, Millsboro, DE 19966.
