DOVER - Troy Eugene Abrams Sr. of Dover departed this life Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover, after a long illness. He was 38.

Troy was born March 6, 1969, to Walter and Minnie Abrams, in Star Hill.

Troy grew up in Delaware and attended the Caesar Rodney School District.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his father, brother and son.

Troy also enjoyed playing cards with his friends.

He was kind and would share with others.

Troy had a good sense of humor and loved to eat.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Walter Abrams Sr. and Samuel Morris; and grandmother, Myrtle Morris.

He is survived by his son, Troy Eugene Abrams Jr. of Dover; six brothers, and Shelton W. Abrams of Harrington, Anthony Loper, Tyrone Clark, Lex Evans and Nate Evans, all of Dover, and Ronald Clark of Philadelphia; one sister, Desiree Reeves; two sisters-in-law, Marcia Loper of Dover and Almedia Abrams of Harrington; one brother-in-law, Andre Reeves of Dover; four aunts and four uncles, Mildred and Thomas Clark, Sherman and Regina Morris, Jimmy Johns, Sanford Morris and Barbara Morris, all of Dover, and Myrtle Jones of Savannah, Ga.; four great-aunts and two great-uncles, Carrie Abrams and Alice Abrams, both of Dover, Annette Abrams of New York, June Deshields of Philadelphia, Alford Deshields of Philadelphia and Henry Deshields of Baltimore; his stepmother, Althea Abrams of Dover; two very good friends, Brian and Lee Greenwood; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be noon Saturday in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may view two hours prior.

Burial will be in Gibbs Memorial Cemetery, Woodside.
