SEAFORD - Thomas Rowins, age 91, of Seaford, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013. Tommie enjoyed his yard work, fix-it projects, lunches out, and talking with family and friends. He retired from the City of Seaford with 30 years of service. Prior to his employment with the City, he had worked for Glenn L. Martin, DuPont, and Sunshine Laundry. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII. He was predeceased by his parents, Wilmer and Maude (Price) Rowins; and his sister, Virginia; and nephew Jack of Federalsburg, Md. Tommie is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Rowins; his daughter, Bonnie Forst and her husband Jeff of Greensboro, Md.; along with extended family across the country that he enjoyed hearing from. Services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 Shipley Street in Seaford. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford.
