Thomas E. Best, 83 LEWES - Thomas E. Best, age 83, of Lewes, passed away at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, on Dec. 20, 2009. Mr. Best joined the family business, Thomas Best and Sons, located at Five Points, outside Lewes, following his service in the U.S. Army during World War II. He enlisted following the attack on Pearl Harbor. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Hilda Howard Best; son, Randy Best and wife Susan; daughter, Barbara Best, and Carolyn Timmons and husband Gary; brother, Alfred Best and wife Edna, all of Lewes; grandchildren, Andrew Best, and Jennifer Montag; and great- grandchildren, Sophie Montag and Wayne Robison. Funeral Services will be held on Wed. Dec. 23, at 2 p.m. at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Rehoboth Presbyterian Church of Midway Cemetery.
