Theresa J. Butcavage, 96

DOVER - Theresa J. Butcavage, of Dover, died Thursday, April 10, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 96.

She was born March 15, 1912, in Nanticoke, Pa., to the late Stanley B. Trojanowski and Josephine F. Prym Trojanowski.

Mrs. Butcavage worked for Septa as a cashier on the elevated lines at the Market Street terminal in Philadelphia.

She retired in 1974 after 26 years of service.

Mrs. Butcavage had also worked for Litt Brothers and Snellenburgs department stores wrapping packages.

She was a member of the Mamie Warren Senior Center in Kenton.

Mrs. Butcavage enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, knitting, flower gardening and flower arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas J. Butcavage.

Mrs. Butcavage is survived by her son, Nicholas Butcavage and his wife Lorraine of Milford, DE; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Friday in Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street.

Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Lancaster, Pa.
