Thelma (Emerson) Biddle, 70
MIDDLETOWN - Thelma (Emerson) Biddle of Middletown passed away Friday, June 15, 2007, in Middletown. She was 70.
Mrs. Biddle was born on April 25, 1937, daughter of the late Elmer and Belle Emerson.
She was a wonderful baby-sitter to many.
Mrs. Biddle loved her family gatherings and NASCAR.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ira Emerson and William Emerson.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Lester I.C. "Bucky" Biddle; three daughters and their husbands, Barbara and Marvin Samson, Thelma Mae and Chris Charles and Ranee Lucy and Warren Truman; a son, Charles Biddle; five very special grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon and Kyle Charles, and Dylan and Bryan Lucy; a sister and a brother-in-law, Nancy and José Rosario; four brothers and four sister-in-laws, Allan and Lois Emerson, Robert and Sarah Emerson, Jerry and Phyllis Emerson, and Jimmy and Debbie Emerson, all of Middletown; a host of nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Anna Wooleyhan.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Townsend Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Delaware Chapter, 100 W. 10th Street, Suite 1105, Wilmington, DE 19801; or Summit United Methodist Church, 554 Old Summit Bridge Road, Middletown, DE 19709.
