Technical Sergeant
Bradley John Klins
On April 1, 2021 Technical Sergeant Bradley John Klins joined his creator in the wild blue yonder. Born on January 24, 1985 in Meadville, PA to Jack and Kim (Meyer) Klins, he was most recently stationed at Dover AFB, DE.
A 2003 graduate of Maplewood Jr./Sr. High School, he spent his teenage years engaged in epic shenanigans involving fast cars, his unforgettable laughter and his co-conspirators Josh Sutton and Axle Boyer. With the ink still drying on his high school diploma, Brad was off to U.S. Air Force Basic Training at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX to push his drill instructors to the limits of their patience, always with that smile on his face. After learning his craft at Sheppard AFB, TX Bradley went on to become a C-130 Crew Chief with a work ethic and skills that are still spoken of on bases around the world. His first assignment was at Pope AFB, NC where he met and married his best friend. He then became a Crew Chief Instructor at Little Rock AFB, AR and then moved on to the 353 Special Operations Maintenance Squadron, Okinawa Japan where he ushered in one of the first MC-130J's into the Pacific Theater and earned the nickname G.O.A.T., a name that was later conferred onto the aircraft itself. He was also instrumental in the success of an untold number of humanitarian and military special operation missions. At Dover, Brad was assigned to the C-5 aircraft and then became the Support Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the 436th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, where he greatly missed working on his beloved C-130's. Bradley supported his country with numerous deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and Qatar.
Left behind and wondering how to navigate a world without him, in addition to his parents; are the love of his life and best friend, his wife of 15 years, Denisha (Hummer) Klins; his beautiful children, Lana, Kal-El, and Grayson; his sister, Dana (Matthew) Edwards; grandparents, Ken and Barbara Peterson, Sandra Klins and the late Russel Klins; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He will forever be remembered for his ready laugh, epic mustache, his mustache comb, kindness and great leadership.
On Friday, April 9, 2021 a military memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Dover AFB, DE for Brad's fellow military members and close family. This ceremony can be viewed on Zoom. Meeting ID: 284 963 3085 Passcode: PQjWh8
