Steven R. Smith passed away on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018. Born Jan. 5, 1992. He was 26 years old.Steven was born at Kent General Hospital in Dover. Steven began his education at Clayton and Smyrna Schools. Steven was the son of Ryan downs and Latoya Smith. He was loved by many. In his youth Stephen did attend the Love Temple Church COGIC being a part of the youth church until the age of 18. He loved fishing and working out at the gym and lifting weights. He loved being a firefighter as well and graduated from fire School. Another passion of all Stevens was being a truck driver. At the time of his passing Steven was driving the truck for an oil company in Texas.
He is survived by his mother, Latoya Smith (Smyrna); father, Ryan Downs (Dover); brother, Tequan Brooks (Smyrna); grandparents, Aaron and Jacqueline Wisher of Smyrna; as well other siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorical Service will be Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at 7:30p.m. Location: Love Temple Community Outreach COGIC, 1057 S. Governors Avenue, Dover, DE 19904
