Stephen B. White, 61

DOVER - Stephen B. White, age 61, died April 12, 2009, at Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover. He was born in St. Louis, Mo., and was the son of Robert and Laura (Heibel) White. Since 1994 he had served as Director of BERG with the State of Delaware Insurance Dept. He was a spiritual person and an active member of the Holy Cross Prayer Group. He was a dedicated husband and father and was one who enjoyed the times spent with his family and close friends. In his quieter moments he enjoyed reading. Stephen is survived by his wife of over 34 years, Patricia Ann White nee Bellistri of Dover; two sons, John P. and spouse Lisa White of Magnolia, and Daniel B. White of Dover; his mother, Laura J. Small of St. Louis, Mo.; three sisters, Janice Laidlaw, Jackie Horn, and Christine Judd, all of St. Louis; one brother, Patrick and spouse Susan White of St. Louis; along with several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, S. State St., Dover, where friends may call starting at 10 a.m. Private Entombment will be in Holy Cross Mausoleum, Dover. Family suggests donations in his memory to Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901. Arrangements are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc., Dover.
