Sidney Grant Nash

DOVER - Sidney Grant Nash "Sid" of Dover passed away after a brief illness, Monday, August 27, 2018 at Kent General Hospital. He was 89.
Mr. Nash was born April 3, 1929 in Lakemont, Pennsylvania to the late Charles P. Nash and Gladys Lyberger Nash. Longtime resident of Scotch Valley, Pa.
He served in the United States Air Force for over 23 years, retiring in February 1972, as an Air Force Courier. After his military career he worked for the State of Delaware as the Director of Home Improvement and Renovations for the elderly. Mr. Nash loved camping and traveling the world. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and trying to outsmart the squirrel from getting into his bird feeders and watching the Phillies and Eagles.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Dick Nash and sister, Betty Marks.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virginia Cruse Nash of Hollidaysburg, Pa. and Dover; son, Sidney Grant Nash, Jr. "Bud" and his wife Cathy of Laurel; daughter, Cindy Farley of Felton; grandchildren, Sidney Grant Nash, III "Grant" and his wife Ashley of Clayton, Sara Gladys Nash of Smyrna, David Lee Farley, III of Felton, Jason Daniel Farley and his wife Jessica of Erwin, N.C., Nicole Fooks and her husband Brian of Delmar; great grandchildren, Brynlee, Mackenzey, Sebastian, Derek and Caden.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park.
