Shirley Jane Bailey

GREENWOOD - Shirley Jane Bailey passed away peacefully on Oct. 18, 2018 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, surrounded by her family.
Shirley Jane was born in Greenwood to the late George and Radie Elliott on Dec. 30, 1937.
Shirley Jane and Fredrick Bailey were happily married for over 62 years and lived and worked on their family farm, J.E. Bailey and Sons. She was a wonderful wife, sister, mother, and grandmother. Shirley Jane enjoyed cooking for her family, watching tennis, watching any movie with Doris Day, and spending time with her grandchildren. Her strength, wisdom, and love were inspiring to all and will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her husband, Fredrick F. Bailey of Greenwood; children, Alan F. Bailey and his wife, Jane, and Glenn R. Bailey and his wife, Norma, all of Greenwood; her sister, Elizabeth Zott of Seaford; grandchildren, Christine Wroten, Michelle Williams, Nicole Bazemore, Justin Bailey, Laura Bailey, Alyssa Brown, Natalie Freeze; and great-grandchildren, Angela Williams, Seth Wroten, Even Wroten, and Layla Freeze.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 W. Market St, Greenwood, DE 19950. Rev. Dale Brown will officiate.
Interment will be held at Bloomery Cemetery, Federalsburg, Md.
