Deshields, 52 GREENWOOD - Shelley Elizabeth Deshields went home to be with The Lord on Apr. 25, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Shelley was born to her mother, Janet Elizabeth Stewart, of Harrington, and her father, James Curtis Stewart Sr. in Milford on Jan. 23, 1963. She was blessed with a loving family. Shelley married her best friend/high school sweetheart, Jeff Alexander Deshields, on Nov. 23, 1985, in Harrington. Shelley was a child care provider at heart. She owned a home daycare called "Forever Friends Home Daycare," where many of children were impacted by her love. She was so creative, loving and kind hearted. She effected so many lives with her amazing personality that would turn your negative day to positive. Reading & Crafts were two of her many hobbies she enjoyed. Shelley is survived by her husband, Jeff A. Deshields; her two daughters, Tanisha Leigh-Ann Benson-Deshields, of Greenwood and Ivana Kameek Nock (Terrance Jermaine Nock) of Orlando, Fla; her granddaughter, Nevaeh Elizabeth Smith-Deshields, of Greenwood; her two sisters, Pearl Elaine Stewart, of Plainfield, N.J., and Virginia Lynn Derrickson (Micheal Derrickson) of Harrington; her three brothers, Donald Kenneth Smith, of Harrington, Larry Allen Smith (Venessa Renee Smith) of Louisana and James Curtis Stewart Jr. (La'Tanya Stewart) of Elkton, Md.; and her grandmother, Pearline Gatling, of Virginia. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Thurs., May 7, 2015, in Mt.Zion A.M.E. Church, 101 N.Queen St., Dover; where family and friends may view from 9 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery,Millsboro.
