SEAFORD - Sharon Eileen Melson, age 67 of Seaford, Del., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 20, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Audrey and James Welde; her aunt and uncle, Norma and Eugene Thackara, aunt and uncle, Marguerite and Melvin Schwartz, uncle Cornell Wolosuk; and nephew, Gary Dawson. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 49 years, Ward A. Melson; two daughters, Sherri Melson McVaugh (Bob), Linda Melson Weiser (Gene); two grandsons, Jonathan Lizer, Michael White; three granddaughters, Heather Maher, Melinda Melson and Melissa Melson; three great granddaughters, Hayley Dula, Mariah Lizer and Brianna White. She is also survived by her sister, Myreia E. Dawson and brother-in-law Charles of Midlothian, Va., and a number of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who loved her kind and caring way to all. She will be missed by all of those who loved her. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, DE 19945, where friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-7 p.m. and again after 9 a.m. on Thursday. Burial will follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Elkridge, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Sharon's name to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
