LAUREL - Shari Lynn Lathbury of Laurel died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, in the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore. She was 37.
Shari was born in Milford on Jan. 17, 1970, daughter of Ronald and Sharon (Lightcap) Wootten.
She attended Rehoboth Junior High School, where she was the school mascot. Shari then graduated from Cape Henlopen High School, Lewes.
She worked as a reservationist for Go Golf Travel, Ocean City, Md., for five years. Prior to that, Shari was the store manager for Shoe Show in Millsboro, and helped set up the Shoe Show store in Milford as well as many other stores throughout the Eastern Shore.
Shari loved scrapbooking and also loved to sing; she had a beautiful voice. She liked to write poetry in her spare time as well.
Shari enjoyed listening to Janis Joplin and Melissa Etheridge.
She was an avid cat lover.
Shari is survived by her husband of two and half years, Brian P. Lathbury; her mother, Sharon (Lightcap) Wootten of Milford; her father, Ronald Wootten of Millsboro; an uncle, Marvin Lightcap of Wilmington; an aunt, Gloria Coverdale of Milford; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Patrick and Jo Ann Lathbury of Laurel; three sisters-in-law, Cheryl Clifton of Millsboro, Patti Lathbury of Laurel, and Karen Elliott of Bridgeville; a special friend, Brenda Sharp of Milford; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her pride and joy - her cat, Ed.
A celebration of Shari"s life will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Ave., Milford.
