Sarah (Rothermel) Effinger, 78
BRIDGEVILLE - Sarah (Rothermel) Effinger of Heritage Shores, Bridgeville, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at home. She was 78.
Mrs. Effinger was born in Milford.
She graduated from Felton High School in 1948.
Mrs. Effinger was the daughter of Frank and Margaret Rothermel.
She was a member of Stein Highway Church of God, Seaford, for 23 years.
Mrs. Effinger enjoyed listening to gospel music and Christian radio and TV.
She is survived by her committed husband who truly cared for her, Joseph C. Effinger Sr.; three sons, Joseph C. Effinger Jr. and his wife Jane of West Grove, Pa., Michael A. Effinger and his wife Lisa of Havertown, Pa., and William L. Effinger of Laurel; four brothers, Frank Rothermel, Harold Rothermel, Marvin Rothermel and Martin Rothermel; four sisters, Frances Bennett, Helen Sharp, Ruth Bennett and Marion Keily; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The viewing will be from noon to 1 p.m. at the Stein Highway Church of God, Stein Highway and Arch Street, where funeral services will follow at 1.
Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests donations to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947; or Stein Highway Church of God, P.O. Box 640, Seaford, DE 19973.
