Ruth Wilhemina Engrem died on July 6, 2021 at Bayhealth Hospital in Dover, Del.
Mrs. Engrem was born on June 28, 1927 in Daw County, Pa., the daughter of Norman and Blanche Reside. After graduating high school, she attended the Allentown Bible Institute for three years, where she met her husband of 38 years, the late Charles Engrem. She worked as a piano teacher for 50 years and was a homemaker for her family.
She will be remembered for her love of music and excellent cooking - especially her sweet potato bread. She was also a woman of faith and taught Sunday school as well as played the organ and accordion.
In addition to her husband and parents; Mrs. Engrem was preceded in death by one brother, John Reside; and three sisters, Naomi Reside, Mary Potak, and Helen Wilson.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Engrem, Jr. (Patty) of Virginia Beach, Va., Kevin Engrem (Janet) of Wilmington, Mass., and Brian Engrem (Noy) of Dover, Del.; sisters, Martha Clendaniel of Batavia, N.Y. and Miriam Dixon of Cherryville, Pa.; grandchildren, Charles III, Mandy, Chris, Nicole, and Janelle; as well as seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Fellows Family Funeral Home in Millington, Md. where relatives and friends may call one hour prior from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. Interment will be at Sudlersville Cemetery.
