DOVER, DE - Ruth Lois Camp passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital.
She was born January 4, 1946, in Paterson, New Jersey, to the late Norman Velsor and Ethel Biggs.
Raised in Paterson, New Jersey, she graduated from Kings College in Westchester, VA. In 1974, she married the love of her life, Wesley Camp, Jr. Most of their time was spent in Fairfax County, Virginia, until moving to Dover a few years ago. She loved working with her hands, needlepoint, and other crafts.
Mrs. Camp is survived by her loving husband, Wesley Douglass Camp, Jr. of Dover, DE; her son, Matthew Douglas Camp of Arlington, VA; her brother, Kenny Velsor (Nancy) of Pompano Beach, FL; and her sister, Joyce Hemingway of Florida.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the First State Animal Shelter, SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.
