Ruth Eloise Biddle

Ruth Eloise Biddle, 88 DOVER - Ruth Eloise Biddle, of Dover, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Kent General Hospital. She was 88. Mrs. Biddle was born Feb. 12, 1922, in Greensboro, Md., to the late Milo and Bessie Evans. She worked for the Court of Common Pleas for many years retiring in 1988. Mrs. Biddle was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Dover. Mrs. Biddle was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Oakley Biddle; three brothers, Grant, Jessie, and Nelson Evans; three sisters, Mary Jackson, Leo Cooper, and Jane Devore. She is survived by a son, William Biddle Sr. and his wife Debby of Dover; her sister, Betty Powell of Silver Springs, Md.; and two grandchildren, William Biddle Jr., and Brenda Biddle, both of Dover. Funeral services will be noon, Friday, April 30, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
