Ruth A. Buarque, 92

HOUSTON - Ruth A. Buarque, of Houston, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2009, in Milford Center. She was 92. Ruth was born in Houston, daughter of the late George B. and Sallie (Voshell) Armour. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening and feeding birds. Ruth was a member of Houston U.M. Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a former member of the Century Club, Houston Homemakers and Milford Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, Ruth's husband, Louis Buarque (1981), and two brothers, Lawrence E. and Lloyd Armour, preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Arthurs and husband Francis of Milford, and June Maroudas and husband Nick of Houston; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Jerread also of Milford; and Ruth's cat, Tibbie. A funeral service were Wednesday, April 22, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford. Flowers are accepted, or contributions can be made to Houston U.M. Church, 235 Broad Street, Houston, DE 19954.
