FELTON - Ruth A. Kemp, 79, of Felton, died Sunday April 24, 2011, at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She is the daughter of the late John T. and Elizabeth L. Vincent Ware. She was born in Felton, and worked as a Nursing Assistant for Geriatrics. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Jacqueline Hall, Mary E. Green, John "Buddy" and Vincent Ware, Mary E. Green; and a son-in-law, Kenny Tilley. She is survived by six daughters, Patty Tilley and her life companion Perry Melvin Sr., Peggy and Larry Ball, Charlotte Kemp and life companion Frank Moore, Brenda King and her husband Bob Sr., Tina and Elizabeth "Beth" Kemp; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Ware and her husband Charles, Jean Kish; and sister-in-law, Anne Ware. Funeral Service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2011, in the Chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, where friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. for a viewing. Interment will be Barretts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803-9813.
