KENTON - Rudy S. Byler was born May 9, 1931 to Simon and Sarah Bender Byler, died June 24, 2018, age 87 years 1 month and 15 days. Married March 18, 1954 to Lydia A. Byler. Lived in matrimony 64 years 3 months and 6 days. Rudy is survived by his wife Lydia; children son-in-law, Raymond M. Miller; step-daughter, (Katie Miller), David (Lydia Miller) Kentucky, Raymond (Elizabeth Ann Mast) Kentucky, Anna Mary (Crist Byler) Delaware, Alma (Danny Byler) Virginia, Joe (Pamela Jo Downs) Delaware, Andy (Miriam Miller) Delaware, Irene (Milo Yoder Jr.) Virginia, Martha (Freeman Miller) Virginia, Alta (Jerry Troyer) Delaware, William (Elma Mae Troyer) Delaware; 76 grandchildren, one step-grandchild; 164 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Alma Byler, Delaware. Preceded in death by his parents; one daughter Esther, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three brothers and four sisters. Viewing will be at the family home 283 S. Main Street, Clayton until the day of service. Service will be 9 a.m., Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Bennie Beachy residence, 1348 West Denney's Road, Dover. Burial will follow in Wiley's Amish Cemetary, Dover.
