Ruby Helen (Friedel) Beckert, 85
BRIDGEVILLE - Ruby Helen (Friedel) Beckert of Bridgeville died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, in Genesis Healthcare Center, Seaford. She was 85.
Mrs. Beckert was born March 22, 1922, in Bridgeville, daughter of the late Grant and Nellie (Boyce) Friedel.
She was employed as a nurse in hospitals and private practice.
She loved antiques, reading, and she collected rabbit figurines.
Mrs. Beckert was a lifelong member of the Bridgeville Historical Society.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Rudolph H. Beckert in 1999.
She is survived by a son, Michael R. Beckert of Greenville, N.C.; and two grandsons, Jonathan Beckert and Andrew Beckert.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, where friends may call one hour earlier.
The Rev. Albert Taylor will officiate.
Burial will be in Bridgeville Cemetery.
