Rose E. Linder, 93

DOVER - Rose E. Linder of Dover, formerly of Smyrna and Felton, died Tuesday, July 3, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 93.

Mrs. Linder was born in Latrobe, Pa., daughter of the late Jospeh and Mary David.

She was a resident of Dover for the last eight years. She lived in Smyrna for 20 years, and before that she lived in Felton. She was a resident of Lester, Pa., for 20 years before moving to Delaware in 1960.

Mrs. Linder enjoyed knitting and made baby blankets and outfits for newborns at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital in Dover for many years.

She was proud to be a Gold Star Mother, an honor she received when her son was killed in action in the Korean War.

Mrs. Linder will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Linder; and sons Joseph L. Linder and Robert D. Linder.

She is survived by her sons, Gerald H. Linder of Elverson, Pa., Thomas W. Linder of Essington, Pa., and Richard E. Linder and his wife, Mary Ann, of Smyrna; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, Norwood, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Lower Chichester Township.
