'Tommy' Smith, Sr., 54 SUDLERSVILLE, Md. - Ronald Thomas "Tommy" Smith, Sr. of Sudlersville, Md. died suddenly on November 10, 2014. He was 54. Born on May 2, 1960, he was the son of Ronald Harris Smith and Ola Moore. Tommy grew up in Sudlersville, and was a 1978 graduate of Queen Anne's County High School. He then began working with his father on his family's farm. Tommy especially enjoyed working with Holsteins, and encouraged his children to show them annually at the Queen Anne's County 4-H Fair. He spent his free time hunting and bowling, participating in the league at Chestertown. He was also very active with the Holstein Association and the 4-H Park Board. In addition to his parents, Ronald and Ola Smith of Sudlersville, he is survived by his loving wife, Donna Landis Smith; his children, Ronald Thomas Smith, Jr., Bryan Barrett Smith (Lauren) and Julia E. Smith, all of Sudlersville; and a grandson, Eric S. Smith. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. in Centreville, Md., where friends and family may visit 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, November 14, 2014. Burial will follow the service in Sudlersville Cemetery, Sudlersville, Md. Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial scholarship fund for Julia and Eric.
