Roman Rog

Roman Rog, 95 DOVER - Roman Rog, 95, of Dover, died June 9, 2010. Born in Krakow, Poland, he was the son of the late Joseph and Victoria Domanus Rog. Mr. Rog had served as an officer in the Polish Army and later served in the United States Army and was a World War II veteran. After his military service, Mr. Rog owned and operated a concrete contracting business in Manhattan, N.Y. He later moved to Dover in 2005 and was a member of Holy Cross Church. Mr. Rog was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Besides his parents, Roman was predeceased by his wife, Anne Bielawski Rog. He is survived by his loving daughter, Michelle V. LaVenia and her husband Peter Lavenia of Dover; and three grandchildren. A graveside service will be offered Saturday June 12, 2010, at 12 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, N.J. Arrangements are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc. Condolences may be sent and Guest Book signed via www.ambruso.com.
