PRESTON, Md. - Roland E. Seth Sr. of Preston, Md., died Monday, July 9, 2007, in Ruxton Health of Denton, Md. He was 76.

Born in Denton, Md., Mr. Seth was the son of the late Clarence Seth and Emma Thomas Seth.

He attended Lockerman High School in Denton and had worked at Electrotherm in Denton until 1985.

Mr. Seth then became caretaker at the Caroline County 4-H Park until his retirement.

He was also caretaker for the Greater Mount Zion Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bethlehem, Md.

Mr. Seth was a member of the Blake Blackston American Legion Post 77 and served as a deacon at the Greater Mount Zion Pentecostal Holiness Church.

He was predeceased by one sister, Lucille Brown and four brothers: Leon Seth, Maurice Seth, Clarence Seth, Jr. and Archie Seth.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine A. Seth of Preston, Md.; two sons, Roland Seth Jr. and his wife, Betty of Herning, Denmark and Marcel E. Seth of Preston, Md.; three daughters, Romaine G. Height and her husband, Tim of Hurlock, Md., Romona L. Seth-Matthews and her husband, Cecil, of Easton, Md. and Rowena V. Acree and her husband, Brian of Hurlock, Md.; one special son, Norman Tommy Boston and his wife, Deanne, of Easton, Md. and their children, Nicole, Nadine, and Natalie; four sisters, Irene Drummond of Denton, Md., Doris A. Butler of Dover, Mary Alice Hurling and her husband, George of Wilmington, Beatrice Rich and her husband, Sonny of North Carolina; two brothers, Allen Seth and his wife, Willa of Wilmington and Andrew Seth and his wife, Gloria, of Chester, Md.; five grandchildren, Donald Banks Jr., Brittany Banks, Frederick Seth, Alexander Seth and Amiah Acree; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Friday in the Greater Mt. Zion Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bethlehem, Md., where friends may visit from 6-8 p.m., Thursday and two hours prior to the service on Friday.

The committal service will be 10 a.m., Monday in the Eastern Shore Veteran"s Cemetery at Beulah near Hurlock, Md.
