Robert W. Jenkins, 63

FEDERALSBURG, Md. - Robert W. Jenkins, "Bobby" of Federalsburg, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, Jan. 30, 2009. He was 63. He was born July 23, 1945, in Hurlock, the son of the late Curtis Jenkins and Ruby Jones Jenkins. He was a graduate of Lockerman High School class of 1963. He worked most recently at Benmatt Industries in Federalsburg and worked previously for Johns Construction Co. He is survived by his companion of thirty years, Beatrice Craft "Pete" of Federalsburg; three daughters, Tron Dennis of Berlin, Paulette Jenkins of Hurlock, Zelda Basknight of North Carolina; two children he raised as his own, Kwalla Craft of Hurlock, and Arthur Darden of Federalsburg; three sisters, Violeece Jones of Hurlock, Ann Roberts of Cambridge, and Delores Jenkins of Hurlock; two brothers, Dennis Jenkins and Jerome Jenkins, both of Harrisburg, P-Pa.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, at Mt. Calvary UMC in Preston, where friends may call two hours prior. Interment will follow at Johns Cemetery.
