Robert W. Bailey VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Robert Wayne Bailey, died Saturday, December 19, 2009. He was born in Claremont, N.H. February 17, 1927, the son of Wayne A. Bailey and Doris M. Bailey. After graduation from Stevens High School and the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester, with undergraduate and graduate degrees, he taught at Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia and Limestone College in South Carolina. He was Professor Emeritus at Wesley College in Dover, after teaching there for 30 years. He was a member of the Delaware State Arts Council for 10 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Italy with the 88th Infantry Division. He selected Virginia Beach for a retirement location. He is survived by a sister, Phyllis B. LaLiberte of Springfield, Mass.; a nephew; and three nieces. Funeral services will be private. It was his wish that memorial contributions be made to the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O.
