Richard Preston Harmon, 73

GEORGETOWN - Richard Preston Harmon of Georgetown passed away on Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, in Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 73.

Mr. Harmon was employed by the Showell Poultry Division for many years as a chicken catcher.

He was also a member of the Antioch AME Church, Frankford.

He is survived by a son, Michael McCray of California; five daughters, Joann McCray, Elvetras and Victoria McCray, both of Los Angeles, Letitia Gordon of Bishopville, Md., and Diana Brittingham of Whaleyvelle, Md.; nine grandchildren; seven brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Antioch AME Church Frankford, where friends may call two hours prior.

The Rev. Harvey H.B. Sparkman III will officiate.

Arrangements by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Millsboro.
