Gray, 76

DOVER - Richard Edward Gray of Dover died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, in his home. He was 76.

Mr. Gray was born Feb. 28, 1931, in Uniontown, Pa., son of the late George G. Gray and Margaret Knight Gray.

He was a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and attended Julliard School of Music in New York. He played percussion in the 3rd Army band and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Gray was a journalist for the Atlanta Constitution. He retired from Mutual Benefit Life in Atlanta.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Jon Grabowski.

He is survived by a sister and a brother-in-law, Jane and Doug Thompson of Dover; two nephews, Mark Grabowski of Newark, Eric Grabowski and his wife, Jenn of Middletown; a niece, Jill Grabowski of Wilmington; and three great nephews.

Services will be private.
