Rev. Theodore Edward Wood Sr., 79 BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - Rev. Theodore Edward Wood Sr., 79, of Brooksville, Fla., and formerly of Dover, Del., passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, in Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was born on July 10, 1930, in Greenwich, Conn., son of the late Robert and Nellie Wood. Theodore served his country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Korean War. The Rev. Wood had been pastor for many years at the Trinity Wesleyan Church, Dover, and was presently pasturing as chaplain at Oakhill Hospital, Fla. Theodore enjoyed antique cars, fixing anything and everything, race driving and traveling with his family and especially witnessing to the Lord. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Theodore E. Wood Jr. in 1982. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Loraine Wood; three daughters, Karen Loraine Taylor and her fiancé Tom of Ingram, Texas, Joyce Lynn Moore and her husband Roger of Harrington, Del., and Patricia Lee Baker and her husband Marty of Dover; a son, Wesley Thomas Wood and his wife Erin of Wilmington, N.C.; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Jodie, James, Marc, Erik, Megan, Jacob, Joel, and Wesley Jr.; and ten great-grandchildren. Theodore and Loraine have had and loved other children as their own and they know who they are. They also have loving and meaningful brothers and sisters through Christ love. These beautiful people of faith have meant so much to them. Services will be noon, Tuesday, Dec. 15, at the Trinity Wesleyan Church, 1564 S. State St., Dover, where the family will receive friends starting at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Milford Community Cemetery.
