SMYRNA - Randall Lee "Randy" Webb Sr. of Smyrna died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident. He was 38.
Mr. Webb was born Jan. 19, 1969, in Seaford, son of James W. and Lucille (Hall) Webb of Smyrna.
Mr. Webb worked for Food Lion in Laurel as a meat cutter in the meat department.
He previously worked for Sam"s Club in Dover.
Randy grew up enjoying activities of many types, including playing Little League baseball for four years and being active with the Scout Troops 135 and 239 for several years.
During his participation with the scouts, he attained a rank of Life Scout.
In 1982, Randy became an ordeal member of the Order of the Arrow B.S.A.
In 1984, he worked in the Youth Conservation Corps at Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge.
Randy went on to receive the FFA Star Diamond Agribusiness Man of the Year award in 1986, where he attended the Eastern State Exposition at West Springfield, Mass., and received the FFA State Farmer Degree.
Mr. Webb was a former member and crew leader of the Hartly Fire Co. and was an avid duck, quail and deer hunter and fisherman.
He loved his dogs, Copper, Tater, and his cat, Tippie.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Norma Elizabeth Hastings and Irving and Ester Hall.
He is survived by two children, Ashley Pearl Webb and Randy Lee Webb Jr., both of Smyrna; his parents, James and Lucille Webb; and his fiancee, Tracy DiRusso and her two children, Nicole and Becky DiRusso of Smyrna.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Thursday.
