Ralph Ernest Watson Sr.

Watson, Sr., 62 GEORGETOWN - Ralph Ernest Watson, Sr. passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. Ralph was born in Milford, son of the late Howard and Minnie (Jewell) Watson. He was a Horse Trainer for over 25 years and worked most recently with Springfield Racing Stables. He was a life member of American Legion Ambulance Station #93 in Georgetown. His hobbies included hunting, softball, simply taking a ride and spending time with his dog Coco. He is survived by his wife Carol (Conaway) Watson; three children whom he raised, Renee L. Willey and husband Randy, Ralph E. Watson, Jr., Carrie E. Taylor and husband Jerry, all of Georgetown; a step-daughter, Crystal Conaway, of Laurel; eight grandchildren; a brother, Howard Watson, Jr., of Seaford; and sister: Elaine Reynolds, of Georgetown. A funeral service will be held Monday, April 20, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, with visitation from 12 – 1 p.m. Burial will be in Cokesbury Cemetery. In lieu of flower, the family suggests contributions to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses.
