GREENWOOD-Phyllis Marlene Troyerwent went to be with the Lord on December 27, 2014 after a valiant battle with her illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God ultimately gave her complete peace. Phyllis was born to the late Reuben and Miriam Baer Eberly of Fayetteville, Pa.. on April 21, 1944. She was a retired LPN with a strong passion for helping others. In addition, for many years she was the chairperson of a sewing circle and taught Sunday School at Greenwood Mennonite Church in Greenwood. Phyllis was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her best friend, Larry Dean Troyer, on October 19, 1963 in Chambersburg, Pa. Larry and Phyllis were blessed with a beautiful marriage that lasted over fifty years. Larry and Phyllis raised their three children with patience, consistency and love. From the very beginning, she modeled her relationship with the Lord to her children and encouraged them to explore the beauty of the gospels by spending hours reading scriptures and bible stories to them. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Larry; her three sons, three daughter-in-laws and fifteen grandchildren; Steve and Jeanette Troyer and Tavlynd, Tobias, Tanner and Matthew; Ken and Dona Troyer and Justin, Briannon, Logan and Madison; and Herb and Keesha Troyer and Adam and his wife Lauren, Tyler, Ashtyn, Mariah, Brayden, Camden and Gavin; four brothers; and six sisters. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at the Greenwood Mennonite Church. The viewing will be held on Thursday, January 1, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
