Phyllis L. Spence

MAGNOLIA - Phyllis L. Spence passed away, Friday, May 18, 2018 at Kent General Hospital.
Ms. Spence was born March 15, 1936 in Dover, to the late Ralph F. Spence and Elsie M. Conner Spence.
Ms. Spence co- owned Spences Bazaar and ran the beverage shop in the Amish market until she retired and passed it on to her daughter. Ms. Spence loved going out on Saturday and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed playing bingo and was an Elvis Presley fan.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Gregory Spence; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Jack Scott; and her dog, Cody who was her companion until his passing.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Brooks (Barbara); daughter, Darlene Rogers (Mike) all of Felton; grandchildren, Joshua Cahall and Roxann Rodiguez both of Laurel, Md.; and great-grandson, Brazah Ahmad; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
