Fisher Lunn, 90 Dover - Phyllis June Fisher Lunn passed away on Nov. 30, 2012. She was born Aug. 19, 1922 in Jeanette, Pa. Phyllis graduated from Jeanette High School and worked in the Western Union Office in Johnstown, Pa. during WWII. She married in 1942 and spent many years as an Army and Air Force wife. During her years in Oklahoma, she volunteered at the hospital at Enid Air Force Base as a "Grey Lady" nursing assistant. She was a master creating anything from fabric or yarn and frequently had multiple dress, quilt and knitting projects on-going at the same time. After moving to Dover in 1961, she donated her time and talents to Dover Air Force Base hospital, making knitted booties, receiving blankets and other layette material for new mothers, and making curtains for the Delaware Agricultural Museum. She was never without a project making something with her hands. She was preceded in death by her husband Cameron S. Lunn; her parents, Adam C. Fisher and Helen M. Fisher; her brother, Adam W. Fisher; and her sister, Naomi R. Criner. Beloved mother of surviving children, Kathleen C. Hardin and her husband David, Linda A. Christy and her husband Calvin, and Casey F. Lunn and his wife Carol; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Burial date is pending. A graveside service will be held with immediate family at Arlington National Cemetery, where she will be interred with her husband. Trader Funeral Home of Dover is helping with arrangements.
