HARRINGTON - Phyllis Clink of Harrington died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at home. She was 87.
She was born in Montrose, Pa., to the late Myron and Hazel Shannon.
Mrs. Clink was a teacher's aide for over 16 years in Middleburg, N.Y.
She was a former scout mom and spent countless hours helping with her children's activities.
Mrs. Clink will be remembered as a great conversationalist and a very knowledgeable person.
She will be sadly missed by her family and close friends.
Mrs. Clink was a member of the Harrington Senior Center, Homemakers Club, Women of the Moose and the Frederica Senior Center.
She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Elmer Clink of Harrington; her sons, Duane Clink and Phillip Clink, both of Albuquerque, N.M.; her daughters, Carole Klingbeil of Albuquerque, Penelope Holmes of Baltimore, Wendy Stevens of Rose Hill, Iowa, and Margaret Clink of Voorhesville, N.Y.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Highway, Harrington, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Instead of flowers, donations are suggested to the Delaware Hospice, Kent County Chapter, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
