HOUSTON - Pearl Lee Bock went home to God on Oct. 29, 2018. She was born on July 27, 1933 and was the fifth of six children born to the late Charles and Delima Jones of Ellendale.
Pearl grew up in Ellendale and graduated from Georgetown High School. She married Thomas E. Lee and lived in Milford where she had two sons, Danny R. Lee and Jerry K. Lee. In the 1960's she began working in the accounting department of ILC Industries in Dover where they manufactured spacesuits. She was always proud that she had met many Apollo astronauts who came to ILC. It was at ILC that she met and later married Robert C. Bock in 1971. With that marriage, she added a stepson, Kenneth S. Bock to her family.
The family later moved to Connecticut and Pennsylvania before returning to Delaware in 1988. Pearl lived in Houston with her son, Ken while she cared for her husband who had a series of medical illnesses. Living in Houston also put Pearl close to her sisters and brother who she loved and visited often.
Pearl was the last surviving member of her siblings. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Bock; and her eldest son, Danny R. Lee.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry K. Lee of Dover and Kenneth Bock and his wife, Julia of Houston.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Burial will be in Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton.
The family would especially like to thank the staff at Country Rest Home in Greenwood and Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown for the care and compassion they gave Pearl in the final years of her life.
