FREDERICA - Pearl "Pauline" Huffstutler passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021, surrounded by her loving husband and family.
She was born April 11, 1943, in Massillon, Ohio to the late Frank Ervin Dye and Blanche (Roby) Dye.
She spent over 40 years teaching and caring for children at the Doll House Nursery, Brighter Beginnings Preschool and Tender Heart Learning Center before deciding to retire. Pauline was an avid bowler being a member of several leagues including a ladies travel league. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds in the morning and in the afternoon watching her favorite soap operas. Pauline also enjoyed going to the slots and game night with friends.
In addition to her parents; Pauline was preceded in death by grandson, James Douglas (J.D.) Huffstutler; and great-granddaughter, Brielle Nicole Orvis both of Delaware; siblings, Irvin, MaryEllen and Doris all from Ohio.
Pauline is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, W.L. Huffstutler; and daughter, Charlotte Truitt (Bill) of Felton; sons, Douglas Huffstutler (Tammy) of Camden, and Eric Huffstutler (Kristi) of Frederica; siblings all from Ohio, Nancy Schott (James), Richard Dye (Beverly), Mildred Harris (Rex); and many nieces and nephews and friends; grandchildren whom she cherished, Aimee Kaczorowski (Dave), Paul "Tommy" Huffstutler, Corey "C.J." Orvis (Heather), Nathan Jacobs, Kayden Huffstutler; great-grandchildren, Justin, Cole, and Cohen Orvis.
A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m., Friday, August 27, 2021, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 East Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover, Del. Friends may call one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to be made to Home of the Brave Foundation, 6632 Sharps Rd., Milford, DE 19963.
