Easton, Md. - Paul Clark Cosden, of Easton, Md., formerly of Milford, and Clermont, Fla., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018. Born Sept. 10, 1933, in Barclay, Md., he was the son of the late James Clark Cosden and Catherine Cronshaw Cosden.
Paul was a 1952 graduate of Sudlersville High School in Sudlersville, Md. He was a member of St. Mark's Church, Easton, Md. Together with his wife, Dorothy Emory Cosden, who predeceased him on May 29, 2017, Paul owned and operated several businesses over the years including Milford Hardware Store, Dot's Card and Gift Shops, Cosden's IGA Grocery Stores, and Sir Speedy Printing Centers. Paul was an avid golfer, an enthusiastic sports fan, and enjoyed feeding the wildlife that visited his yard.
Paul is survived by one brother, Marvin Cosden and wife Ruth of Dover; three children, Rev. Dale C. Cosden and wife Raye of Falling Waters, W.Va., Donna Cosden Davis of Salisbury, Md., Dawn Cosden Auker of Easton, Md.; six grandchildren, Adam Cosden and wife Lindsey of Hagerstown, Md., Natalie Cosden Evans and husband Brandon of Martinsburg, W.Va., Nathaniel Davis and wife Lakeshia of Baltimore, Md., Dr. Lauren Davis Rice and husband Brandon of New Paris, Ohio, Christopher Bryan and wife Holly of Trappe, Md., Kyle Bryan and wife Kate of Easton, Md.; 12 great grandchildren, Jase, Ben and Owen Cosden; Landon and Kenley Evans, Nechamah, Efrayim, Neschaya and Batya Davis, Avery Bryan, Nadia Bryan and Logan Patchett. Paul is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Patricia Emory Pardee and husband, Alvin, and Henrietta Emory Anthony and husband Wayne, all of Chestertown, Md.
