DOVER - Parent Marcellus (Snooks) DeShields, formerly of Wicomico County, Md., passed away Oct. 19, 2013 surrounded by family. Son of the late Perum and Ruby King DeShields. He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Wayne Horsey, Malcolm and Steven DeShields; one brother, Joseph DeShields; caretaker, Eva Harris; companion, Phyllis Scott; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013 with services immediately following at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 883 Lincoln St, Dover, DE 19904. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 2928 Sharon Hills Rd., Dover, DE., Gore Funeral Home, Delaware City, DE. (302) 836-3621.
