Rehoboth - Palma V. Salerno passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from her residence, she was 39. Palma was born in Wilmington to Tommaso and Donna Salerno.
Palma was a 1997 graduate of Lake Forest High School. She worked mostly as a waitress and hostess for various restaurants.
Palma was looking forward to getting married soon and moving to Hawaii. She was one that always had to look her best, and she took great care of herself by living and eating a healthy lifestyle. She enjoyed the beach, lounging by the pool, eating out, and hanging out with her friends. She loved anything Hawaiian and was always there for anyone that needed her. She was loved by all that knew her and she touched many lives. She will indeed be missed.
In addition to her parents, Tom and Donna Salerno, she is survived by her God Parents who are also her aunt and uncle, Maria and Joe Fontana, as well as her other aunts and uncles, Tommy and Sara Salerno, Frank and Rose Salerno, Joe Salerno, Kenneth and Susan Snyder, Gary Snyder and Sheila Putman; her Fiance, Chris Crookston; and numerous cousins and countless friends from all over.
Services will take place on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at 11 a.m., at the Saint Bernadette Catholic Church, 109 Dixon St., Harrington. A visitation for family and friends will take place Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Burial will take place at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery, Dagsboro.
In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 109 Dixon Street, Harrington, DE 19952.
