LEWES - Otha Howard "Buddy" Furniss Jr. of Lewes died Sunday, July 22, 2007, in his home, following a battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family. He was 52.
Mr. Furniss was born in Lewes, son of Otha Furniss Sr. of Lewes and the late Betty Cooper Furniss.
He attended Cape Henlopen High School.
Mr. Furniss was a handyman.
He is survived by his father, Otha Howard Furniss Sr. of Lewes; a sister and a brother-in-law, Jeany and Sam Argo of Milton; a brother and a sister-in-law, Dale and Connie Furniss of Lewes; his nieces and nephews, Dale Furniss Street, Travis Furniss, Kyle Furniss, Amy Jones and her husband, Finley III and Stefani Larson and her husband, Chip; and three great-nephews, Finley Jones IV, Allen Larson IV and Isaih Street Williams.
A funeral service will be 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, where friends may call one hour earlier.
