Olive L. Denson, 92

FELTON - Olive L. Denson, of Felton, passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, in her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family. She was 92.

She was born on May 10, 1915, in Wyeville, Wis., one of seven children and daughter of the late David and Nellie (Larson) Nordwall.

She graduated from Washington High School in Princess Anne Md., in 1932 and was salutatorian.

Olive had worked for Playtex in inventory control and retired in 1978. After her retirement, she later enjoyed life as a homemaker.

She was a member of Whatcoat United Methodist Church, Camden.

Olive's many hobbies included antiques, crossword puzzles and flower gardening. She also enjoyed reading and would read a book a day. She also did latch hook rugs which she loved to give to her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Burton J. Denson in 1987; a son, Bruce J. Denson; and her six siblings.

She is survived by three children, Jack B. Denson and his wife Sandra of Ft. Myers Beach, Fla., Patricia D. Bravata of Dover and David W. Denson and his wife Kathy of Goochland, Va.; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Denson of Dover; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be noon Tuesday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call one hour before services.

Burial will be at Siloam United Methodist Church Cemetery, Salisbury, Md.

Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Siloam UMC Cemetery Fund, c/o of Earl Wilson, 27504 Riverside Drive Ext., Salisbury, MD 21801.
