KENNEDYVILLE, MD - Noah Yoder, died in his home on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008. He was 51. Mr. Yoder was born in Lancaster Pa., the son of Alvin and Lydia Zook Yoder, of Oakland, Md. Mr. Yoder was a self employed carpenter-contractor. Nine years ago, Mr. Yoder experienced an industrial accident rendering him unable to work. For many years he enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing golf. He was also remembered as loving family games and was usually the leader of the festivities. In addition to his parents, Mr. Yoder is survived by his wife, Sadie Mae Yoder; a daughter, Katelyn Yoder, two sons, Thomas Yoder and Trenton Yoder, all of Sudlersville, Md.; two sisters, Rachel Peachy and Nancy Bender, both of Oakland Md.; and two brothers, John Yoder and Henry Yoder, also from Oakland, Md. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008 in the Calvary Baptist Church, located on the corner of Delaware Route 8 and Victory Chapel Road, Dover. Friends and family may also call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Harmony Christian Fellowship Church, Millington, Md. Burial will be in the Central Mennonite Church Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in his memory to the Harmony Church Yoder Fund, for the children's college fund, C/O PNC Bank, P.O. Box B, Sudlersville, MD 21668 Att. Valerie Leager. Arrangements by the Fellows Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, Millington, Md.
